Dans le sillage des années 60, quelques œuvres marquèrent la télévision, dont cette série méconnue. Elle est peut-être à l’origine, avec Dossiers brûlants, du train de feuilletons à base de paranormal, sortis deux décennies plus tard (X-Files, Psi-factor...).
Dans des décors gothiques, avec encore les couleurs des années nostalgiques, dans une violence rare pour l’époque sur le petit écran, le Dr Michael RHODES (Gary COLLINS dans la vie), doté lui-même de pouvoirs extra-sensoriels, dénouent grâce à ses dons, quelques intrigues bien emmêlées.
